A Multidisciplinary Journal of Antiviral Agents, Natural Host Defence Mechanisms, Interferons and Antiviral Vaccines
An Official Publication of the International Society for Antiviral Research
Antiviral Research publishes research reports, short communications and review articles on the control of viral infections in humans, animals and plants. Its scope encompasses:
· novel approaches to the prevention and treatment of viral diseases;
· new antiviral drugs, including their synthesis, in vitro testing and mechanism of action;
· assessment of drug safety and mechanisms of resistance;
· novel vaccines for humans and animals;
· therapeutic antibodies, interferons, interferon inducers and other host response modifiers;
· animal models of viral diseases;
· pathogenesis studies, especially those focusing on mechanisms by which viruses evade host immune responses.
