胃，胃腑；俞，输注。
本穴是胃气转俞于后背体表的部位。

Meaning

Wei, stomach; shu, point.
This point is where the Qi of stomach is infused into the back.

定位

第十二胸椎棘突下，旁开1.5寸。

Location

1.5cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the 12th thoracic vertebra.

主治

① 胃病要穴，治胃胀胃痛，嗳气吞酸；呃逆呕吐，胃下垂等；
② 背肌酸痛。

Indication

1. main point forgastric disorders: fullness of the stomach, stomachache, retching with sore water, hiccup, vomiting, prolapes of the stomach.
2. backache.

针法

直刺或略向下线斜刺0.5-0.8寸

Method

puncture perpendicularly or a bit obliquely in the direction of midline 0.5-0.8cun.

胃之背俞穴勿深刺
