气，元气；海，海洋。
穴在脐下，为人身元气之海。

Meaning

Qi, primary qi; hai, sea.
The point, below the navel, is the sea of the primary Qi of the whole body.

定位

脐下1.5寸。

Location

1.5 cun below the umbilicus.

主治

1. 气病要穴，治气滞引起的腹涨，腹痛；气逆所致的呃逆，咳喘。
2．肠道疾病要穴，治腹泻，痢疾，肠麻痹等。
3．治泌尿，生殖系疾病，常与关元配合使用。
4. 有全身强壮作用，亦为保健要穴。
5．治虚脱，常与神阙、关元配合应用。

Indication

2. main point for diseases of the intestines, diarrhea, dysentery, entero-paralysis, cough and asthma.
3. to treat diseases of the urinary and genital systems, often used with Guanyuan point.

针法

1. 直刺1-1.5寸。
2. 孕妇三个月以上禁针。
