主症

腹胀肠鸣，时时作痛，痛即欲泻，泻后痛缓；一日可泻多次，泻物酸腐臭秽，或完谷不化，频作嗳气，不思饮食，舌苔腻，脉滑而实者，属伤食腹泻，如泻下稀薄，色黄而臭，腹部疼痛，身热口渴，肛门灼热，小便短赤，舌苔黄腻，脉滑数者为湿热泻。

Main Manifestations

Abdominal distention, borborygmus and persistent abdominal pain followed by the instant desire to empty the bowel and being alleviated after the diarrhea, several times of defecation a day with sour and putrid feces, or with undigested food, frequence of belching, anorexia, sticky tongue coating, and roling, forceful pulse. All the symptoms fever, thirst, burning sensation at the anus, dark and short urination, yellowish sticky tongue coating and rolling rapid pulse signify the syndrome of damp heat.

治法

取足阳明经穴为主，刺法不留针。

Prescription

Tianshu (ST 25), Shangjuxu (ST 37) and Sifeng (EX-VE 10).

随证配穴

伤食者加建里、气海；
湿热泻加曲池、合谷、阴陵泉。

Additional Points

Diarrhea due to overfeeding: Jianli(CV 11) and Qihai(CV 6),
Damp-heat diarrhea: Quchi(Li 11), Hegu(LI 4) and Yinlingquan(SP 9).
