一般简介：
王一鸣, 中山大学中山医学院医学遗传学教研室教授，博士生导师，学术带头人。1972年毕业于第一军医大学医疗系，1985年毕业于中山医科大学，获医学硕士学位，1986年赴英国伦敦大学学习，1990年获伦敦大学Ph.D学位。此后在英国医学科学院，皇家医科研究生院，伦敦，牛津，新堡及莱斯特等大学工作。于1999年12月回国。近年来的研究集中于医学遗传学，分子遗传学，分子生物学方面，是英国、美国人类遗传学会会员，人类基因组成员，英国肾病学会会员，欧洲肾病/透析/移植学会会员，及中华医学会会员。
研究成果：
（1) 1998年在英国克隆了常染色体显性骶骨发育不全病的基因。有一篇第一作者（三个并列第一作者之一)的论文发表于Nature Genetics（20:358-361,1998)。并在英国获得3项独立自主的科研基金。基金委名称：Sir Jules Thorn Trust; National Kidney Research Fund；Special trustees of Guy’s and St. Thomas’Hospitals。
（2) 回国后获国家自然科学基金，863基金，广东省自然科学基金重点及面上项目，China Medical Boarcd of New York基金，欧盟FP6基金等科研基金。
（3) 回国后作为作者之一撰写了专著：Archaeogenetics: DNA and the population prehistory of Europe. Chap 31: An Indian ancestry: a key for understanding human diversity in Europe and beyond. Renfew C, Boyle K (ed), McDonald Institute Monographs, 2000, Cambridge.
