穴义

长，长短之长；强，强弱之强。
脊柱长而强韧，穴在其下端。

Meaning

Chang, long; qiang, strong.
The spinal column is long and strong. The point is at the lower and of the spinal column.

定位

尾骨尖端与肛门之中点。

Location

midway between the tip of the coccyx and the anus.

主治

主要用于肛门及直肠病变，如脱肛、直肠炎里急后重，痔核脱出等。

Indication

treating disorders of the anus and rectum: prolapse of rectum, rectitis, tenesmus, prolapse of hemorrhoids.

针法

针尖向后上方斜刺0.8~1寸，不宜过深，以免刺伤直肠。

Method

puncture obliquely backwards up 0.8-1cun. Deep insertion should be avoided in order not to hurt the rectum.

2. chronic diarrhea
3. ache of the back and spinal column

直刺或略向上斜刺0.5~1寸，不宜过深

本穴与横膈平。经气至此从膈下的阳中之阴到达膈上的阳中之阳。

Zhi, reaching; Yang, Yang of Yin-Yang.
The point is at the level of the diaphragm. The Qi of this meridian passes here and ascends, i.e, it reaches "Yang within Yang" above the diaphragm from "Yin within Yang" below the diaphragm.

第七胸椎棘突下

Location

below the spinous process of the 7th thoracic vertebra.

主治

黄疸，咳嗽，哮喘，脊背痛。

Indication

jaundice, caugh, asthma, lumbago.

针法

向上斜刺0.5~1寸

Method

obliquely upward 0.5-1 cun.

①解热，治感冒发热
②疟疾要穴，对控制疟疾症状，尤其是隔日疟，热型典型者疗效较好
③对白细胞数有双向调整作用，如肿瘤患者因“放疗”或“化疗”而致白细胞减少者，刺灸之，可以上升；对热带嗜酸性白细胞增多症，针刺后可使嗜酸性白细胞数下降

Indication

1. relieving fever, cold
2. malaria, controlling the symptom of malaria, especially good for tertian malaria and typical febrile type
3. regulating the count of the white blood cells: radiotherapy or chemotherapy may cause the decrease of white blood cells of the patients with tumor, which may be increased by acupuncture; for tropical eosinophilia, acupuncture may decrease acidocyte
