〔摘 要〕医患关系是医学伦理学的经典命题。不同文化背景、不同的政治经济制度、不同的卫生保健体制下的医患关系必然存在差异。通过比较,了解差异,有助于形成相互补充、相互借鉴的思路和认识。本文正是基于此,选取现代医疗保健制度这一背景,探讨中英医患关系的差异。

医患关系作为社会的上层建筑总是建立在一定的社会的经济基础之上的。马克思曾经深刻地指出:“物质生活的生产方式制约着整个社会生活、政治生活和精神生活的过程。”当今,无论在中国,还是在英国,医患关系及其道德调节方式已成为一种人们普遍关注的社会现象,比较研究两国现代社会经济、制度文化的宏观差异,无疑对发展医学伦理观、促进医患关系和谐有着有益的启示。
